About

A “Life” in the “Day” of Sheldon Smith…

Traditional Art, Photography, Graphic Design, Film & Video, Science, Psychology, and Sociology are what I journey to comprehend. I ride this spaceship everyday until I bend space-time. In the end, I wish I was clairvoyant, or knew how to figure it all out, but I can’t, so I became an artist.

I’ve been in the multimedia industry for 8+ years starting with a Web Design & Maintenance contract with SMOOTH Magazine straight out of High-School (2000). I am self-taught in the disciplines of graphic design, traditional art, and web design, but went to Queens College in New York to pursue Media & Film Studies as well as Photography after briefly studying Computer Science at Polytechnic University. Throughout my college career (2000 – 2006), I worked as Lead Creative Director and co-Founder of DesignAttic Inc., now DesignAttic Multimedia. We handled web design and graphic design projects for clients such as SMOOTH Magazine, Azzure Denim, The American Cancer Society, Rockstar Games, Universal Motown, Essence Magazine, and many more. I have since left DesignAttic Multimedia in 2008 to pursue my Film & Visual Arts career as a Freelancer.

In 2005, along with Fashion Photographer Hassan Kinley and the beautiful Photographer/Model Cynthia K. Cortes, I started Karin + Raoul, an online magazine and gallery aimed at cultivation of the personal, the mysterious, and the sexy.

HIRE ME, hehe…Currently I’m available as a freelance graphic designer, web design, and motion designer. I’m open to many different types of projects and I’m always interested in expanding my creative palette. Email me at daroninss@gmail.com with any inquiries.
